toronto-open

The City of Toronto has launched the toronto.ca/open site today. The site is modeled after the open data sets at the City of Vancouver, the District of Columbia and the US Federal government, data.gov. This was launched at the Toronto Innovation Showcase. The full data set is available at DataTO.org.

One of the requests is to standardize on RESTful interfaces for all of the available data sets. It demonstrates the huge need for an application like OGDI to provide a standard publish, and error correcting service for the data.
